It’s been a long tangled road to get here. I first went to college for Architectural Engineering at Milwaukee School of Engineering, but soon realized I need to be much more creative in order to be happy with my career. I then transferred to Iowa State University where I first was accepted to the Graphic Design program, but eventually switched majors to Visual Studies and graduated with a BFA. My original intent after graduation was to become a photographer, but I got sidetracked as a screen-printed apparel designer for several years. I then went back to school at Milwaukee Area Technical College in the commercial photography department. I graduated in 2008 and finally started my career in the photography industry. The journey I took to become a photographer definitely shaped me as an artist, and I have a wide range of skills that all come together when I’m creating.
